We all share in a special thanks to BJ's Wholesale Club of 1801 Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth for "adopting the Newington School." BJ's adopts a different school each year and works with the school on shared events. BJ's donates paper goods, food and some money toward these events.

The Newington School has worked on several projects, including making Heart of Gold gift baskets to be sent to U.S. troops stationed in Asia; decorating miniature pumpkins for Edgewood Center; and conducting a food drive. School kid decorated two boxes that were placed at the front of BJ's store for about a month. Food donated by BJ shoppers was collected for the Holidays.
