It's official, the Gundalow no longer belongs to Strawbery Banke. Now it is owned and operated by The Gundalow Company with Justin Kane serving as President and skipper. The Capt. Adams Gundalow is a 1978 replica of the Fanny M gundalow built by Captain Adams of Durham. It was constructed using blueprints of the Fanny M. stored in the Smithsonian Institution.

The Gundalow stopped briefly in Newington at Great Bay Marine for minor repairs and fixes. Then Dorothy Watson boarded the craft as it was towed over to Durham by Sandy Hislop piloting Great Bay Marine's baby tug, the Sally G.

The Gundalow's new management hopes to have the gundalow travel more frequently around the Piscataqua River basin in the future.
